East Fortune is a 1.65 mile circuit just
off the A1 about 10 miles to the East of Edinburgh. Served by excellent
roads from the all directions especially the south and south west. Predominently
a motorcycle race circuit it provides an interesting challenge to car
drivers too (Streetmap.co.uk
or Mulitmap.com).
The circuit is laid out on the old roads and runways of the former airfield.
The vast majority of the circuit has been resurfaced to an excellent
standard. This being an airfield circuit it is obviosly flat in stark
contrast to the dips and crests of Knockhill. This is more than made
up for by the variety of the corners available.
If you are travelling camping can be arranged on site the night before
or after each event. Study the Circuit Diagram , pics and comments below
and I think you will soon why we and many other love the place.

"I think the numbers at the event on 14th May suffered from there
not being enough experience of the circuit, and therefore no word-of-mouth
promotion of it. The reaction of others when I said I was going to do
it was "It is very expensive for an airfield with a bumpy concrete
surface with joints every 10 yards". How wrong they were."

"Thanks again for a great day. Hope we will get something set up
and have you back up here later in the year"

The run up to Hannah's
"Fantastic event on Saturaday, first time event with Javelin and
first time at East Fortune and everything ran splendidly.
Please contact me if you decide to run another East Fortune date this
year." Best regards, Radical Clubsport.

Powering out of Pates onto Linton Straight
Thanks again for a great day - everyone seemed very impressed with the
track and the marshals were great.. big thanks to the head chief honcho
fohe first turn. let's say if I didn't know the limits of those road
tyres at the beginning of the day I certainly did by the end.. will
try less landscaping next time. Looking forward to the next one - you
can have my deposit now! "
