How often do you find an airfield in the middle of a forest? Not often in UK. Woodbridge Airfield is an example situated in the midst of Suffolks lovely Rendlesham Forest. It is not the bleak open space you might imagine. The airfield now predominently used by helicopters affords a myriad of roads and runways that offer several circuit layouts of between 1.5 and 2 miles in length. We like being able to alter the layout. Stops the regulars getting bored too. Javelin Trackdays have spent a lot of time and effort in clearing run off areas etc. We have invested in our own Sweeper. The track is swept before and after each event.
Facilities at Woodbridge include a Mobile Catering Unit and Portable Toilets.
Static Noise Limit at Woodbridge is 102dba. Measured at 3/4 max revs, 0.5 mtrs and 45 degrees from each exhaust outlet.
